Terms of service

These terms apply to every Singulence product. Where a section names one product, such as Pollproof at poll.singulence.com, it applies to that product. Last updated 13 October 2026.

Who we are

The products are operated by Singulence, run by Benjamin Papadakis, c/o COCENTER, Koppoldstr. 1, 86551 Aichach, Germany. Contact details are in the Impressum.

The service

Pollproof lets a presenter run live polls and question-and-answer sessions that participants join from their own devices. The free plan includes the full live session, with no charge based on the number of participants and no limit on the number of polls; results are kept for a limited time. The Pro plan adds session history, exports, custom branding and additional presenter features. The current plans and prices are shown on the product site and apply at the time of purchase.

What "no set limit" means

Where a plan says something has no set limit, or that you are not charged by the number of people, we mean that we do not meter it and do not bill you for it. We do not mean that capacity is infinite. Practical ceilings exist so the service stays fast and reliable for everyone, and they are set by what we have actually tested rather than by what we would like to promise: a single Pollproof room currently accepts up to 1,000 connected devices at a time, the number it has been load tested at, and the product says so when a room is full. Stored content such as pictures also has a per-account ceiling, shown in the product.

We may apply reasonable technical limits where use would degrade the service for other customers, and where we do, we tell you in the product rather than failing silently. We raise these ceilings as our capacity grows, and we will not reduce a stated ceiling for an existing paid plan during a billing period. If you have a session planned that is larger than the stated room size, write to contact@singulence.com before you buy and we will tell you honestly whether we can support it.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Participants joining a session do not need an account. You may close your account at any time; closing it deletes your sessions and results in line with the retention rules shown in the product.

Payments, invoices and refunds

Paid plans are sold through Polar Software Inc. (polar.sh) as merchant of record. Polar is the seller for the purchase: it issues the invoice, charges VAT or sales tax where applicable, processes the payment and handles refunds. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled and can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the paid period. There is no annual contract.

Acceptable use

Do not use the products to send unlawful, harassing or deceptive content, to attempt to disrupt the service or access other users' data, or to violate the rights of others. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the products available and reliable, but they are provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms and the products. Material changes to the terms are announced on the product site or by email before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. Consumers in the European Union also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
